While some parts of my Brooklyn explorations were planned or concentrated to specific neighbourhoods (As was the case for the previous three blog posts), there was also a fair amount of other random wandering around around the other parts of the borough.
This last post on the Brooklyn section of my NYC trip shows the highlights of these random wanderings, and include a stop by the Brooklyn Public Library and the nearby Grand Army Plaza, a few photos from a morning spent walking around the southern section of Prospect Park, taking a look at the Brooklyn War Memorial, and visiting the New York Transit Museum to check out its collection of old subway carriages.
These locations might not have been the most touristy or photogenic, but they were still fairly interesting places to visit.
Brooklyn Public Library, with its rather imposing front door. It also has a fairly spacious interior, and free wifi (which was important to me, because I had limited data).

The Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, located at the southern end of Grand Army Plaza. It was built in the 1890s and dedicated to the Union Army after the American Civil War.

Prospect Park Lake, located at the southern section of Prospect Park, a large park that was designed by the people who designed Central Park in Manhattan.
