In normal circumstances, one would not be able to see actual cherry blossoms in a tropical country like Singapore. However, with the climate-controlled domes at Gardens by the Bay, Singaporeans got to experience a taste of that a few weeks ago in March, as part of their seasonal floral showcase.
Of course, the experience isn't like being overseas and surrounded by full-sized blossoming trees (The ones they had were smaller or younger trees, probably for the ease of transplanting them), but it was still a very special sight. That was definitely what a lot of people thought too, as the place was packed on the days when I went down to have a look.
Till the next time,
